The role: Hostess
A Hostess is responsible for making guests feel welcome by providing a warm greeting, assisting them with seating, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience from arrival to departure. The role focuses on delivering the highest level of guest satisfaction.
You`ll be responsible for:
As a Hostess, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
** Welcome guests in a friendly, timely, and professional manner
** Manage guest queries efficiently and courteously
** Maintain full knowledge of menu offerings and restaurant services
** Answer phone calls politely, take accurate messages, and communicate them promptly
** Be familiar with the restaurant`s seating arrangements
** Follow Hilton grooming standards, including uniform, cleanliness, and personal hygiene
** Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health & safety policies
** Follow correct procedures when handling guest issues
The skills that will help you succeed:
Experience & Skills
** Positive attitude and friendly personality
** Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
** Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
** Excellent grooming and presentation standards
** Flexibility to respond to different work situations
** Ability to work independently and as part of a team
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate:
** A degree in a relevant field
** Previous experience in Food & Beverage or hospitality industry
** Cash handling experience
** Knowledge of food hygiene regulations
