We are proud to announce the upcoming opening of Art Riverfront Hotel in Tbilisi, scheduled for Summer 2026. The property will feature 152 guest rooms, all-day dining Restaurant, Bar, Terrace, Conference facilities and Gym designed to deliver a contemporary hospitality experience in Tbilisi.
We are currently looking for a Chief Accountant in Tbilisi responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The role includes managing accounting transactions, supervising payroll, monitoring receivables and payables, ensuring effective internal controls, and leading the accounting team to support efficient and compliant financial operations.
Key responsibilities of the Chief Accountant include, but are not limited to:
** Recording and controlling all accounting transactions in line with financial reporting standards;
** Preparing and submitting tax declarations in compliance with tax legislation;
** Assessing and managing tax risks;
** Ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of obligations to the state budget;
** Preparing daily, monthly, and annual financial and tax reports;
** Managing bank operations, cash transactions, and maintaining accurate cash/bank balances;
** Monitoring accounts receivable and payable balances;
** Overseeing payroll processing, making calculations and ensuring accuracy of employee compensation records;
** Ensuring proper accounting and control of inventory and fixed assets;
** Supporting implementation and control of ERP and accounting systems;
** Monitoring financial data across hotel operational systems;
** Improving internal financial processes and control systems;
** Coordinating with internal and external auditors and providing required documentation;
** Preparing and submitting statistical reports as required by authorities;
** Identifying and resolving accounting-related issues within the company;
** Leading and managing the accounting team, including recruitment and development;
** Performing additional accounting tasks based on business needs;
** Overseeing and managing accounting department; Executing tasks assigned by direct supervisors;
Qualifications
** Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
** Proven experience in a senior accounting role (Chief Accountant or similar);
** Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting;
** Experience in payroll, tax filings, and financial control processes;
** Leadership experience and ability to manage and develop a team;
** Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel;
** Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
** Good communication and problem-solving skills;
** Good command of English;
