SOS Children`s Villages Georgia is inviting applications for the position of Project Finance Manager (100%), based in Tbilisi.
SOS Children`s Villages Georgia has been operating since 1989, working to improve the well-being of children at risk of losing, or deprived of, parental care. The organization`s mission is to ensure that every child grows up in a safe and nurturing family environment and is supported to become a self-reliant and independent adult.
The organization delivers integrated programmes across prevention, child protection and safeguarding, gender equality, and advocacy. Through its Family Strengthening Programmes, SOS supports vulnerable families to prevent child-family separation, while its Alternative Care Programmes provide quality, family-like care for children and youth without parental support, equipping them with essential life, social, employability, and entrepreneurial skills.
Operating across six regions of Georgia, including Tbilisi, SOS Children`s Villages Georgia reaches over 1, 500 children and caregivers monthly and provides long-term care and support to more than 120 children and young people.
The organization`s target group is defined as:
** Children and families living in poverty and/or at risk of losing parental care, whose basic material, emotional, health, and educational needs are insufficiently met due to socio-economic vulnerability, limited caregiver capacity, or adverse living conditions;
** Children deprived of parental care, who are living without adequate parental support and require alternative, family-based care, protection, and long-term developmental support.

Project Information:
Project Title: VIBEs for Youth II: Vision building, Identity, Well-being and Employability for Youth
The main goal of the project is to empower young people by strengthening their social, life, vocational, employability, and entrepreneurial skills, thereby increasing their competitiveness in the local labour market. In parallel, it enhances the institutional capacity of state institutions and civil society organizations (CSOs) to deliver inclusive, responsive, and sustainable services tailored to the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged youth at the community level.
The project is implemented through a regional partnership of SOS Children`s Villages in Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.
Multi-country project will be implemented in partnership with SOS Children`s Villages Armenia, SOS Children`s Villages Kyrgyzstan and SOS Children`s Villages Belarus with financial support from BildungsChancen gGmbH and SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit e.V.
Duration: 44 Months
Targeted locations: Tbilisi and Kvemo Kartli regions (Marneuli and Bolnisi Municipalities).
Purpose of the Position:
The Project Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial management of the project, ensuring effective planning, utilization, and monitoring of financial resources. The role includes budgeting and forecasting, liquidity and cash flow management, financial analysis and cost optimization, as well as monitoring financial performance to support informed decision-making and ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
Accounting:
** Project accounting including accounting of Fixed assets and inventory if any;
** Bank transactions for the purpose of the project;
** Accounting entries related to the project into the financial software and its submission on monthly basis to the National Office;
** Ensure that the taxes are calculated accurately and paid on time.
Cash Flow:
** Do regular cash-flow updates of the project;
** Ensure coordination of estimations of the partner organizations and ensure accuracy of the data;
** Submit the cash-flow updates periodically which will be the basis for funds request from the Donor.
Financial Report (Donor reporting):
** Check voucher list submitted by the partner organizations for accuracy reasons;
** Ensure accuracy and on time submission of the periodic financial reports to the donor; Financial reports include voucher & inventory lists together with scan versions of financial and procurement documentation.
Budget:
** Control project budget utilization and ensure correct allocation of the project activities to the budget lines of the partner organization;
** Collect information on budget amendments if any and submit it to the project manager;
** Provide information regarding savings/overspendings per budget line to the project manager on regular basis.
Project Visits:
Provide regular spot checks of the original documentation including procurement documentation of the partner organizations.
External Audit:
** Provide external auditors with all requested documents and submit annual financial report upon the approval of the donor;
** Ensure provision of feedback on a draft audit report (once a year);
** Be a contact person at the project level during the external financial audit.
Other:
** Ensure that the Donor requirements regarding finanance and procurement are met by the partner organizations;
** Provide training (s) and regular support to the accountants of the partner organizations in terms of the financial reporting, procurement etc.
** Be a contact person in the field of finance with the Donor;
** Other finance related tasks.
Qualification and Experience Required:
Knowledge:
** Good knowledge of Finance Management and Budgeting;
** Good knowledge of local accounting law and tax regulations.
Experience:
** Minimum 5-year experience in the area of Finance Management, Budgeting and Accounting.
** Experience working on internationally funded projects (International Grants);
** Working experience in the international organisation (s).
Competencies:

** Excellent communication & interpersonal skills;
** Analytical and process thinking abilities;
** Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
** Critical thinking and problem solving;
** Excellent verbal and written Georgian language;
** Knowledge of the English language is desired;

** Self-disciplined with good time management skills;
** Detail orientation and accurate in planning and delivering agreed outputs within the set deadlines and with good quality;
** Adaptable and flexible towards changing priorities and assignments;
** Positive working attitude and ability to work under high pressure;
** Proactive and self-motivated to learn and acquire additional competences needed for the job;
** Commitment to the principles of SOS Children`s Villages Georgia.
Management and Reporting:
The Project Finance Manager will report to the Project Manager and the Head of Finance of SOS Children`s Villages Georgia, and will work in close coordination with the donor to ensure effective financial management and compliance.
