WWF Caucasus Programme Office is pleased to announce an opening for the consultancy position of HSE Expert.

Project: The Sustainable Forest Management in Adjara project (SFMiA)
Biodiversity and Sustainable Local Development in Georgia, Forestry Component - BMZ-Nr.: 2019 67 827), which is co-financed by the Government of Germany through KfW

Location: Adjara, Georgia (Batumi)
Contract Type: Consulting Agreement

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

** To develop an Occupational health and safety guideline for the Project (Annex 2.2 for ESMF). - In total 30 working days including field visits, preparation of the Draft version, revision upon feedback from AFA, WWF and KFW)
** To review a Guideline on safe working practice in forestry operations (Annex 2.3 for ESMF). - In total 14 working days
** To train the AFA staff on the new guideline - In total 5 working days
** To monitor implementation process for a year providing guidance to AFA - In total maximum 20 working days
the Consultant will be paid the compensation according to invoices which the Consultant will submit in the end of each calendar month together with timesheets, recording the days on which the Consultant worked on the duties and tasks assigned.

Main Requirements:

** Higher education (Bachelor`s degree or equivalent required).
** Valid certificate from the State accredited occupational safety program.
** Minimum of 10 years of experience in occupational/labor safety roles.
** Strong knowledge of Georgian occupational safety legislation and applicable international standards.
** Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; knowledge of additional foreign languages is considered an asset.
** Certification in environmental protection is an advantage.
** Excellent punctuality and time management skills.
** Strong interpersonal and communication skills; friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
