Proxied is expanding our engineering team with a Senior Go Developer who can help us design, build, and scale highly resilient backend systems that power privacy and performance at a global scale.
Responsibilities
** Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs written in Go, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
** Architect systems for high throughput, low latency, and fault tolerance across distributed environments.
** Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to design secure proxy routing and traffic management logic.
** Implement monitoring, logging, and metrics for production systems to ensure stability and rapid troubleshooting.
** Optimize resource usage and network efficiency across proxy layers and backend services.
** Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
** Stay current with emerging technologies in distributed systems, networking, and security, bringing innovative solutions to the team.
Requirements:
** 5+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Go (Golang).
** Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, and microservices architecture.
** Experience building and optimizing APIs, RPC frameworks, and high-performance services.
** Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2, QUIC) and experience with proxies or traffic routing is a plus.
** Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
** Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm).
** Proficiency in designing and querying relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).
** Strong focus on code quality, testing, and documentation.
** Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
