As of January 20, 2026, East-West University announces an open call for applications to fill academic research positions at the School of Medicine for a three-year term in the following fields:
** Life Sciences
** Medical Clinical Sciences
** Health Sciences
** Applied Sciences
** Social Sciences
Total number of positions: 5
** Senior Researcher - 2 positions
** Researcher - 3 positions
Eligibility Criteria
Senior Researcher
Applicants must:
** Hold a Doctoral (PhD) or equivalent academic degree;
** Have at least one scientific publication in a peer-reviewed journal within the last three years.
Researcher
Applicants must: Hold a Master`s or equivalent academic degree.
Required Application Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents electronically:
1. Copy of a valid identification document;
2. Curriculum Vitae (CV), including a list of published scientific works;
3. Document certifying higher education;
4. Document certifying a relevant doctoral academic degree or an equivalent qualification
** In the case of an academic degree obtained abroad, applicants must provide a recognition document issued by the LEPL - National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia;
5. A complete list of published scientific works and copies thereof
** A full publication list is mandatory; one selected publication copy may be submitted at the applicant`s discretion;
6. Certificates issued by the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia confirming:
** No conviction for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability;
** No deprivation of rights.
(These certificates are required only for applicants advancing to the second stage of the competition.)
Selection Timeline

** Preliminary evaluation of applications: February 25-26, 2026
** Interviews with shortlisted candidates: February 27, 2026
** Announcement of preliminary results: February 28, 2026
** Appeals submission: March 2, 2026
** Appeals review: March 4, 2026
** Final decision and announcement of results: March 5, 2026
