Development Evaluation and Progress Assessment (DEPA) Consulting is announcing an opening for the full-time position of the Evaluator/Researcher.
Duty Station: mostly office-based
Employment status: Full-time position
DEPA Consulting aims to contribute to positive changes to support progress, development and socioeconomically strong society through credible research, evaluation, policy advice and capacity building for government and civil institutions, international organizations, and private sector. By providing high quality services, innovative techniques, and tools DEPA Consulting strives to promote evidence-based decision-making in order to improve the impact of development interventions and policies.
DEPA Consulting is focused on providing research, consultation and capacity building services in the following areas: monitoring, evaluation and learning system design, program/project evaluation, performance monitoring, needs assessment, sector assessment, institutional development, policy/strategic planning, data and information management and other related services including the trainings in above listed fields.
Evaluator/Researcher is expected to design and conduct quantitative and qualitative research activities (with more intensive focus of quantitative), database management and analysis, contribute to drafting analytical reports (assessments, studies, evaluations, etc.), as well as engage in development of proposals including designing the methodology section.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
** Development of the research design (including sampling design);
** Development of the project/programme evaluation design;
** Development of quantitative research instruments;
** Conduct trainings and communicate with the field personnel for conduction of quantitative field data collection;
** Carry out data cleaning and frequency calculations, cross-tabulations, regression analysis, etc.
** Contribute to drafting evaluation / research reports;
** Assist experts and researchers in conduction of studies and evaluations;
** Provide necessary input for preparation of evaluation and research proposals.
Requirements:
** University degree/diploma in Social Science, Development Studies, Economic or related field; Master degree is an asset;
** Proficiency in MS Office and SPSS (knowledge of other statistical programmes is an asset);
** Analytical aptitude and attention to details;
** At least 1 years of experience conducting quantitative research, including development of questionnaires, designing sampling strategies, working on databases (cleaning, coding and data analysis)
** Experience contributing to report writing;
** Fluency in English (both verbal and written) and Georgian (proficiency in other languages is an advantage);
** Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner;
** Team player and aptitude to work as a member of a multicultural team;
** Reliability, strong organizational and time management skills;
** Willingness and ability to learn and develop further;
