KPMG Georgia is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Legal Counsel .
OPEN TO/ ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: All interested candidates
LOCATION: Tbilisi, Georgia
JOB DESCRIPTION: Work to perform includes but is not limited to:
** Drafting, review and manage contracts and corporate documents
** Conduct legal analysis for various legal/compliance issues
** Draft, review, and update internal policies to ensure alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements
** Support Risk Management and Compliance activities under the supervision of the Manager
** Monitor and ensure compliance with audit requirements, data protection and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations
** Review and provide legal analysis on legislative amendments affecting the firm`s operations
** provide legal guidance to company staff regarding applicable legislation and internal legal matters
** Maintain and organize the firm`s internal legal documentation archive, both in hard and electronic formats
** Serve as the firm`s internal legal advisor, dedicated to supporting the company`s own legal and compliance needs
REQUIREMENTS:
** Completed higher education in Law
** Strong knowledge of Civil, Corporate, Labor, Data Protection, AML, and Audit Law
** Fluent in Georgian and English (both written and spoken)
** 3-4 years of legal experience with preference for candidates with relevant experience in similar organizations or in the compliance field
** Membership in the Georgian Bar association is an asset
** Master`s degree is an asset
** Knowledge of Russian language is an asset
