Position Title: Head of Quality Assurance
Key Responsibilities:
** Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes and best practices across the project;
** Lead and coordinate the QA team`s daily activities planning, prioritizing, and monitoring testing tasks;
** Participate in release planning, risk assessment, and scope definition for testing;
** Ensure full test coverage of features and functionality through detailed test documentation (test cases, checklists, regression/acceptance suites);
** Organize and oversee smoke, regression and UAT testing;
** Collaborate closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality delivery;
** Review and approve test documentation created by team members;
** Analyze test results, track metrics and report QA progress to stakeholders;
** Manage bug lifecycle and ensure clear communication of defects and priorities with developers;
** Provide mentorship and guidance to QA engineers, support professional growth and knowledge sharing;
** CollaboratewithInfoSec teams to execute vulnerability scanning and penetrationtestvalidations;
** Participate in root cause analysis of production incidents and propose preventive measures;
** Contribute to automation strategy and promote the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines;
** Coordinate with AML, Risk, and IT Security to align testing with compliance frameworks;
** Ensure QA team alignment with compliance and security standards relevant to the fintech industry.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
** Bachelor`s degree in Information Technology or a related field;
** 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including at least 1 year in a QA Lead role
Qualifications:
** Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC and release management processes;
** Experience in testing both web and mobile applications (iOS, Android);
** Solid knowledge of API testing tools and practices (Postman, Swagger);
** Proficiency in SQL for validating and analyzing data in databases;
** Experience and understanding of performance and load testing (JMeter, k6);
** Experience in setting up and implementing QA processes from scratch;
** Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills;
** Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, TeamCity or similar);
** Practical experience in creating and maintaining test cases, checklists, and bug reports using Jira/TestRail or another TMS;
** Demonstrated ability to train and support QA colleagues, validated through past mentoring/coaching roles;
** Understanding of fintech domain specifics — transactions, payment gateways, crypto wallets, AML/KYC compliance;
** Experience with lead a QA team (task planning, workload management, mentoring and performance evaluation);
** Experience in implementation and maintaining a test automation framework.
