We want our network and security to be a competitive advantage: reliable service for customers, smooth installations, predictable changes, and clear SLAs. We`re hiring a senior leader who can turn three technical groups into one cohesive service engine and set a high bar for quality and speed.

What you will lead:

You will own the agenda, people, and outcomes for three directions (today ~10-15 FTE; growing to 20-25):

** Networking and Security Operations - deployment and operations of core and access, acceptance from Install & Maintenance, planned changes, and steady improvements.
** Networking and Security Monitoring (24×7 NSOC) - always-on monitoring, incident response, reporting against SLAs, and post-incident learning.
** System and Security Operations - the systems that run the network: identities and access for network services, address management, configuration pipelines/automation, inventory/CMDB.
** Security is horizontal: one set of policies and practices that apply across all three (perimeter, access, segmentation, DDoS readiness), with joint response during security incidents.

Your Impact (Scope & Responsibilities):

** Strategy & priorities. Set the annual/quarterly plan for network and security; align roadmaps, risks, and metrics with the CEO and peers.
** Reliability & service quality. Own availability targets and time-to-restore; schedule change windows; ensure incidents lead to improvements, not repeats.
** Customer experience. Work as one team with Infrastructure, Install & Maintenance and Customer Care (B2C/B2B) so activations and support are "right-first-time" and on schedule.
** People & leadership. Hire, develop, and retain team leads and key engineers; run on-call and escalation calmly and predictably; promote a "service first" culture.
** Security as a through-line. One security baseline across operations, monitoring, and systems; coordinated playbooks with IT/SOC for prevention and response.
** Finance & vendors. Own the department budget (CAPEX/OPEX), run vendor and uplink negotiations, manage delivery risks and lead times.
** Change & learning. Clear change management, solid runbooks, blameless post-mortems, and transparent reporting to the business.

How you work with others (operating model):

** Head of Infrastructure: they own physical (fiber build, towers, power, RF); you own logical network and security. Capacity planning and changing windows are joint.
** Install & Maintenance: Together with I&M, you define readiness and installation standards. I&M installs accordingly, and your team supports them when needed with configs, firmware, vendor communication, and other technical expertise.
** Customer Care (B2C/B2B): agreed escalation paths and timelines; regular feedback on recurring issues and customer-impacting incidents.
** Sales/Presales: help commit only what we can reliably operate; ensure smooth handover post-launch.
** Compliance: joint reviews and audits; one action plan for security incidents.
** Finance/Procurement: budget clarity, total-cost discipline, on-time procurement.

What you bring:

** 7+ years in telecom/ISP or carrier-grade networking, including 5+ years leading multiple teams (10+ FTE) with 24×7 operations.
** Proven track record building predictable operations, clean escalations, and a culture where incidents drive lasting improvements.
** A leader who can translate the complex into simple for engineers, executives, and key customers; strong hiring, coaching, and retention of team leads.
** Working English/Georgian/Russian for partner and customer meetings.

Professional skills & knowledge (concise):

** Network fundamentals: OSI model (L1-L7) applied to real incidents and change planning.
** Provider networks: core/edge policy and routing, IPv6/dual-stack, subscriber services (BNG/BRAS), QoS, address and capacity governance.
** Enterprise networking: segmentation, campus/branch/DC patterns, VPN/SD-WAN, office and guest Wi-Fi; clean handover to/from provider networks.
** Optical & transport: how fiber behaves (loss, splicing, OTDR), metro L2 basics, where PON (GPON/XGS-PON) fits; acceptance criteria from field teams.
** Fixed wireless: E/V-band basics, link budget and LOS/NLOS realities; when radio is the right part of a hybrid last-mile.
** Security (end-to-end): perimeter controls, access and segmentation, NAC/802.1X, DDoS readiness (own + scrubbing), identity and access for network services, practical PKI; coordinated response with SOC.
** Standards & practices: familiarity with IETF/IEEE/ITU-T on your level, ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST CSF, incident/change/problem management, post-mortems by default.
** Operations & reliability: 24×7 monitoring and telemetry, SLO/SLI thinking, capacity planning, safe maintenance windows and back-out plans.
** Automation & tooling: pragmatic use of automation (e.g., Ansible, basic Python), configuration in Git/CI, reliable inventory/CMDB (e.g., NetBox), and observability tools.
** Cross-functional communication: clear SLAs/OLAs with I&M and Customer Care, transparent reports, expectation management with sales and leadership.
