Reports to: Head of Data & AI
Job Summary: Data Solutions Architects are a customer-facing role responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive data architectures and analytics solutions. This role focuses on data analytics, data management, and ensuring data security within cloud and on-premises environments. The architect leads architectural design sessions, develops proof of concepts, and works closely with customers to create scalable data platforms and secure data ecosystems that align with their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Centricity:
** Act as the technical lead for data solutions, gathering customer insights related to data architecture, analytics, and security needs.
** Build and maintain relationships with customer technical teams and decision-makers, advising on data strategy and governance.
** Help customers define their data and analytics needs, designing solutions that leverage the latest technologies and best practices in data management and security.
** Provide guidance to close customer skill gaps in areas such as big data, data governance, and advanced analytics platforms.
Business Impact:
** Architect and implement scalable data solutions to meet customers` evolving data analytics, reporting, and security needs.
** Leverage expertise in data architecture, data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data analytics to deliver business insights.
** Design secure data architectures that meet compliance requirements, ensuring the protection of customer data throughout its lifecycle.
** Identify technical risks and blockers related to data quality, governance, and security, offering strategic solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Technical Leadership:
** Stay current with the latest data technologies, tools, and methodologies, particularly in areas such as cloud data platforms, big data ecosystems, and data security frameworks.
** Mentor team members on data architecture design, data integration, and advanced analytics techniques.
** Participate in internal and external technical communities to share knowledge on modern data solutions, trends, and best practices.
** Contribute to the development of reusable intellectual property (IP) and improvements to internal processes related to data architecture and security.
Technical Experience:
** Extensive experience with data architecture design, including the use of data lakes, data warehouses, and data governance frameworks.
** Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery), and experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
** Expertise in designing secure data ecosystems, including the use of encryption, identity management, and compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
** Hands-on experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, and advanced analytics using machine learning frameworks.
Qualifications:
** Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
** Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale data architecture, analytics, and security solutions for enterprises.
** Proven track record of working with senior IT stakeholders on data strategy, governance, and security.
** Experience in leading data modernization initiatives, including migrations to cloud-based data platforms and advanced analytics environments.
** Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of leading technical discussions and influencing customer decisions.
Certifications (preferred but not required):
** Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty, or equivalent.
** Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Google Professional Data Engineer, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
