Job Summary
We`re looking for a Senior Python Developer to support a major project within the European banking & insurance sector. This is a fully remote role that involves working primarily with Python, FastAPI, Docker, git… You will be working with a leading European software consulting company that designs and builds innovative software solutions for clients in the European insurance and banking market.
Key Responsibilities:
** Develop and maintain backend microservice using FastAPI.
** Design and implement database models and migrations.
** Integrate with external APIs and internal systems.
** Process and transform data into target formats (e.g., document generation, validations).
** Optimize performance and troubleshoot backend services.
** Ensure adherence to security best practices (input validation, sanitization, authentication).
** Participate in architectural decisions and discussions.
Requirements:
** Python - advanced knowledge - 5+ years of experience
** FastAPI - experience designing RESTful APIs, handling validation, exception management, middleware, and security mechanisms.
** Docker/Containerization - ability to prepare development and production environments in containers.
** Git - team-based development, branching strategies.
** Pydantic - defining data models, validating input, custom types
** SQLAlchemy - designing and optimizing database models, writing efficient queries.
** Alembic (or other DB migration tool) - managing database schema migrations and versioning.
** Basic HTML/CSS - enough to work with PDF generation tools (WeasyPrint).
** Networking Fundamentals - understanding of HTTP, proxies, TLS, and REST principles.
** Athentication via JWT
Must have Tech Stack: Python, FastAPI, Docker, Git.
