People in Need is currently looking for a skilled and experienced LAG (Local Action Group) Manager to join our team in Gori, Georgia.

PIN Georgia Offers:

** Contract length: one year / full time, with possible extension
** Monthly Salary: 2, 298 Gel net
** Duty Station: Gori Office, with travel to project locations (different regions in Georgia)
** Availability: Asap

People in Need was established in 1992 in the Czech Republic as a civil society organisation and has since grown to become one of the largest non-profit organisations in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to humanitarian aid and development cooperation, PIN also works in the fields of human rights, education and social inclusion, both abroad and in the Czech Republic. Operating in over thirtynine countries, PIN carries out projects which support hundreds of thousands of people suffering from crisis, conflict, exclusion, poverty, persecution and harassment.

People in Need Georgia (PIN) as a representation of a Czech non-profit organisation, has had a growing presence in Georgia since 2005. During this time, we have built a strong reputation for programmes embedded in the communities they aim to support. We also work with institutions to make systemic changes and influence policy across different sectors through civic engagement. PIN has supported the inclusion of young people with disabilities in education and employment, successfully lobbied for improved IDP assistance, and led evidence-based advocacy campaigns on access to safe credit and ensuring labour rights. In addition, our work with national CSOs and Local Action Groups (LAGs) is in harmony with our localisation agenda and utilises opportunities to assist in the improvement of social protection mechanisms as well. As of 2023, PIN has staff based in Dusheti, Gori, and Tbilisi. Through nationwide projects and our partners, we work across all regions of Georgia and have gained substantial experience in remote and high mountainous areas underserved by other actors. Reporting relations &interdependencies with other functions Under overall guidance and supervision of the Project Manager, LAG Manager will manage the process of establishing and managing the LAG Gori and organizing the Local Development Strategy (LDS) drafting. The LAG Gori will be supported in a series of around 5 meetings to develop its own statute, election and decision-making rules and internal procedures based on the principles of LEADER.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordination Support

** Support GALAG organizing community outreach in Gori municipality to introduce LEADER approach
** Organize LEADER workshops for potential members of LAG
** Support the facilitation process of establishment and registration of LAG Gori
** Support GALAG to plan and implement capacity building and networking for LAG members
** Lead the process of drafting Local Development Strategy (LDS)
** Support GALAG while developing LAG`s initial policy documents
** Overall coordination of all activities related to LAG Gori establishment and operations.
** Provide support to LAG Gori daily operations, trainings, meetings and all activities under the framework of the project.
** Participate in public meetings to develop community awareness of the project and mobilize engagement among beneficiaries/stakeholders.

** Support mapping exercises in the communities via stakeholder meetings and interviews.
** Contribute to project advocacy efforts and coordination of interventions with government authorities.
** Represent LAG Gori at different platforms and networks as required.

Accountability and Safeguarding including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment
(SEAH):

** Carry out the duties in accordance with the PIN Code of Conduct & Key policies.
** Participate in training and awareness raising sessions related to the Code of Conduct & Key
Policies, and Safeguarding.
** Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a fulfilling and protective environment.

Other:

** Provide technical, logistical, or other relevant support to the project team and LAG Gori as needed
** Fulfil other tasks relevant to the position as required.

General employee obligations and responsibilities:

** The Employee is obliged to follow PIN Policies, National Staff Policy and Internal working rules, safety and security, fire safety regulations and other obligatory procedures and regulations related to her/his work.
** Employee shall always maintain confidentiality of all information gained from employment within not publicly available. S/he shall represent and uphold the values of People in Need and behave in appropriate manners at all times and all places.

Required education: A university degree in a related field

Required experience, skills & competencies:

** Minimum 3 years of experience in the NGO field with a focus on rural/economic development programs;
** Experience of leading teams to achieve results in complex projects;
** Understanding of and proficiency in the use of monitoring and evaluation tools;
** Demonstrated experience in sub-grant management;
** Good knowledge of Gori municipality;
** Understanding or experience of LEADER methodology will be an advantage;
** Strong ability in planning and organization
** Strong ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities and meet deadlines
** Proven communication and negotiation skills with national, regional and local level
stakeholders
** Ability to plan own work and manage conflicting priorities
** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain and present complex information and prepare written documents/communications in a clear, concise manner
** Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite application particularly with Outlook, Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint, social media skills an advantage
** Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations
with people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for
diversity
** Willing to work from Gori office
** Basic knowledge of English is preferable
