Napirze, an environmental organization based in Rustavi, Georgia, is looking to hire a researcher specializing in textile manufacturing, recycling, and business feasibility analysis for a short-term research project.
Having completed a market research study of textile waste availability and management in the region, we are looking to establish the feasibility of textile revaluation and recycling in Rustavi, which requires precise data on waste providers, potential product and customers, costs involved, and technical requirements, amongst other parameters.
Based on this data, we intend to develop a recycling or revaluing facility with machinery that can process textiles, and establish a model of textile revaluation for others in the region.
Scope of Work and Tasks
Napirze is looking for an Expert Researcher who will identify the parameters and requirements for establishing and running a textile revaluing or recycling facility in Rustavi.
The study will include:
** Contacting Georgia-based companies identified in the market research study to establish the quantity, nature, and availability of the textile waste they produce
** Assessing materials for recyclability and product market viability
** Establishing the technical requirements for processing the identified waste
** The potential products` market viability
** Potential outcomes and impacts
Qualifications and Experience Required
The selected consultant should meet the following requirements:
** Have a minimum of 5 years experience conducting studies/taking part in research
** Have significant experience in the sustainability and textile fields
** Have experience of running business feasibility or related studies
** Have strong interpersonal and analytical skills
** Fluent Georgian
** Professional knowledge of the English language
