Job Description

Position name: Senior Financial Reporting & Budgeting Specialist

Purpose of Position:

The Senior Financial Reporting and Budgeting Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company`s financial reporting, analyse and budgeting processes. This position is responsible for preparing IFRS and Managerial financial statements for management and stakeholders, analyzing budget performance, supporting forecasting activities, reconciliations with counterparties/regulators and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. By providing clear, data-driven insights and maintaining strong financial controls, this role supports strategic decision-making and helps the company achieve its financial goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

** Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
** Review and validate journal entries and supporting documentation.
** Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial data or reporting discrepancies.
** Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
** Analyze budget variances and provide explanations or corrective recommendations.
** Assist departments with budget tracking and financial performance analysis.
** Prepare financial data and reports for management review.
** Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
** * Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and accruals.
** Analyze trends, margins, and performance indicators to support decision-making.
** Develop budget-to-actual variance analysis reports and recommend actions.
** Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
** Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
** Coordinate annual budgeting and reforecasting processes with department leaders.
** Support internal and external audit processes, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
** Contribute to the development and refinement of financial policies and procedures.
** Identify and recommend corrections for discrepancies in financial data.
** Recommend budget adjustments based on variance analysis and performance trends.
** Respond promptly to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from Direct manager.
** Other finance-related tasks.

Basic Requirements:

** At least 4-5 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis, preferably in a corporate finance or Big Four.
** Extensive experience in financial accounting, preparation of financial statements, and adherence to accounting standards (IFRS).
** Proven experience in developing, monitoring, and reporting on budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis.
** Experience with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls, as well as supporting external and internal audits.
** Experience in managing cash flow, liquidity, and short-term investments or financing.
** Working knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI, as well advanced Excel skills.
** Fluency in Georgian and English.
** Familiarity with tax filings, and the regulatory landscape affecting financial reporting and budgeting.
